While all of this year's entries were special we felt that the drummers in the under 13 age group were extra-special. The Directors of Hit Like A Girl have therefore selected 6 of these talented and precocious, 7 and 8-year old drum sisters to represent Hit Like A Girl— and their beautiful generation— for the next 12 months as Jr. Ambassadors. As we often say, the future is in good hands.

HLAG 2023 • Zultan Emerging Talents Awards
Hit Like A Girl and Zultan Cymbals are proud to announce Helena Mikovic, Aiwen Voth, Julia Gilmore and Rafaela Migueis as the recipients of this year's Zultan Emerging Talents Award.
This award was created to discover, reward and assist emerging talent in the female drumming community. ZET recipients are chosen based on their passion and dedication to drumming and selected by a panel of leading drummers, educators and industry executives. The winners will receive a set of Zultan Impulz cymbals as well as marketing support on the Zultan and Hit Like A Girl websites and social media throughout the year.

SOMAR DRUM CAMP SCHOLARSHIP
Thanks to the generous support of its founder, directors and sponsors, SoMar Drummers is proud to announce that Caroline Chen and Queen Drums have both been selected as recipients of the Hit Like A Girl/SoMar Mid Atlantic Drum Camp Scholarship.
Caroline is from Apex, North Carolina in the USA. She is 14 and this was her 3rd time entering the Hit Like A Girl contest. "I started playing piano in elementary school but I decided to try drumming in fifth grade because I thought it looked cool. Now, it's a massive part of my life!," she says.
Queens Drums (aka Jaleacia Harris) is a 21-year old drummer and former Hit Like A Girl winner from Montgomery, Alabama. She has performed in churches, showcases and concerts and was featured in HLAG's video showcase for the Percussive Arts Society's International Convention in 2022.
