Hello everyone! My name is Kai Ross. I am thirteen years old and have been playing drums for 2 and a half years now. I also have been playing double bass for about 5-6 months. I was inspired to start playing through the game Rock Band. Ever since I joined School of Rock Canton and picked up my sticks for the first time, I knew drums were my passion.

My entry is Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold.This song in particular means a lot to me. My former teacher showed it to me and I really loved it. Avenged Sevenfold by far is my favorite band. I’m very inspired by The Rev. From his amazing chops to his perfect double bass, I love it all. I also love Tommy Lee and Danny Carey. They all have been major impacts on my chops and drumming style.

I love being a girl drummer because it’s different. I love sharing my passion with the world, and music truly has no gender. In the future I hope to spread awareness for human rights and gender equality though my passion.
