Drumming since age 20, I am now part of Silent Seas (modern death), Metal Cleaner (acoustic metal covers) and most recently Trollheart (troll pagan death), with whom I played the Cernunnos Pagan Fest (Paris) beginning of February 2023. The video attached is a drum cam from this fest, it was the first time I played such a big venue and it was absolutely exhilarating. I love so much playing the drums and relieving the stress behind the kit, that I smile all the time, even while playing dark death metal… My kit ‘the grandma’ is a beautiful blue Ludwig vistalite from 1976.
I am also a biomechanics research engineer in a sports lab, and this year, I launched a unique research project on drumming double bass techniques, beginning with a study on the ankle technique. We already have Kévin Paradis (Benighted) on board, and I did the experiment on James Payne (Kataklysm) beginning of March 2023.
