Hi! I’m Julia from Mexico. I’m 8yo and started playing drums when I was 7. I started by attending musical initiation lessons, but was almost immediately attracted by the drum set that was in the room. Since then I love drumming! I really enjoy it, it’s like rhythm flows almost naturally in me. I play mostly rock pop songs, but I’m eager to explore new genres and improve my skills.
This year was my second big concert organized by Blackbird, my music school. I played 6 sings with 3 different bands. “Sweet Child of Mine” by Guns n’ Roses was the song I loved playing the most, that’s why I chose this cover to participate in the Hit Like A Girl 2023 Contest. I’m happy to belong to this awesome community of female drummers 🙂
