Hi! I’m Irene, a 24 year old drummer from Spain. Here’s a drum playthrough of my band’s (Porfiria 666) new song “Dios ha muerto”. This is a demo since we are still composing our next album which we hope to record later this year. I chose this song out of all in our setlist because in my opinion it’s quite original and energetic which makes a fun song to play. Besides, it represents very wellwell our actual and unique sound: simple and straightforward yet creative and melodic. When I compose my drum parts, I like to get creative, I like to listen to my main influences and try to come up with parts that fit the song but in my own style.
I started playing drums eight years ago thanks to the influence of bands like The Runaways or The Bangles, which made me want to play an instrument and be in a band like they did. I’m mainly self-taught which hasn’t always been easy because of the difficulties you find trying to learn and to find and correct your own mistakes
