I’ve wanted to drum since I was 10 years old but I didn’t start playing until many decades later. Getting my first kit seven years ago was one of the best things I’ve ever done for myself. Drumming is my passion and outlet! As soon as I sit behind the kit and pick up the sticks, I come alive. My musical journey, even though it started much later than planned, allows me to learn something new and challenge myself every day. Throughout the years, I’ve been inspired by John Bonham, Neil Peart, Taylor Hawkins, and Senri Kawaguchi, to name a few.

I chose Måneskin’s version of Beggin’ because it’s one of my favorite songs to play—one discovered during the pandemic, a time when drumming really helped me. I entered HLAG for two reasons: to get out of my comfort zone and to encourage people to follow their dreams. Don’t wait! Take the leap because time is one thing you can never get back. And while you’re at it, always remember that age is just a number.
