My musical journey started at the age of six. I studied the violin at Toulouse’s Conservatoire for 12 years, under the wing of Klaus Mulhberger, professional violinist at Toulouse Capitole National Orchestra. At 14 years old, I discovered the band Hole and was immediately blown away by the energy of the drummer, Patty Schemel. I realised that drums weren’t exclusively reserved to men, and I was inspired to learn. I taught myself, watching videos and listening to a lot of music. Unfortunately, my dream of becoming a professional violinist was cut short due to a serious health issue that forced me to stop playing for a few years, time I needed to heal and rebuild my strength. I resumed playing the drums more seriously in 2016. I was part of the band Enoa for few years, with which I performed in several music festivals. In 2021, I joined the alternative rock band Inrush. I participated in various musical projects such as Rockin’1000, after what I wanted to push myself further and decided to take lessons with professional drummer Matthieu Danesin at the Drum and Groove music school. All these experiences have helped to define myself as a musician and boosted my confidence to apply to the Hit Like A Girl Contest this year.
My intention is to set myself new challenges, to be present with my fellow drummers and to encourage more girls and women to play the drums, and to be part of this self-boosting, energy driven musical community.
Un de plus !
Je te félicite pour tous les projets que tu entreprends.
La musique et la musicalité coulent dans tes veines.

WOW, violin and drums! Quite an impressive journey. I was one of the first girl drummers in the 1960’s here in the states. Glad you are continuing to exemplify this point to the younger girls now! This entry had a good feel and fills that fit perfectly. Thanks for showing.
