Hi! My name is Gwen Shahboz and I am a 17-year-old from Florida. I have been drumming and creating music for what feels like my whole life. I love to use music and art as creative outlets for myself. I have also learned more recently that I love to play music with other people. Over the past year, I have been given the wonderful opportunity to play with an assortment of amazing musicians that have become some of my closest friends. My band is called Breakfast 4 Dinner and I find so much enjoyment in being able to play with them.

This year for my Hit Like A Girl submission, I wanted to branch out from the normal music that I play with my band and learn a piece that I would have a lot of fun rocking out to. I chose to play Chop Suey by System Of A Down because I always have a good time listening to that song whether it be jamming out in the car with my Dad or researching the drumming part, it always seems to put me in a good mood.
