Lozz Benson is a Sydney based multi-instrumentalist.
Since completing a degree in Jazz Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, she has toured internationally with multiple Australian artists including John Butler Trio, The Wiggles, Kate Ceberano, Mahalia Barnes, Marcia Hines & Hayley Mary (The Jezabels).
She has supported multiple bands over the years in various acts, including The Darkness, Slim Jim Phantom (The Stray Cats), Missy Higgins & The Whitlams. She is no stranger to co-writing, having worked on songs with Jim Moginie (Midnight Oil), Phil Stack (Thirsty Merc), Paul Kelly & Misa Arriaga (Kacey Musgraves/Willie Nelson). Lozz has worked with many Country music vocalists in Sydney, including Duncan Toombs, Jem Cassar-Daley, Fanny Lumsden, Luke O’Shea, Max Jackson & Bill Chambers.
Lozz was featured in DRUMscene after winning the AUDW Up-and-Coming Drummer Award, and appeared on the Voice, after successfully getting through into Keith Urban’s Top 5.
She is a passionate teacher and proudly endorses Ludwig Drums. She is very excited to be the Australia Hit Like A Girl Ambassador.
