Greetings fellow drummers! My name is Jessica Piñas and I’m thrilled to be participating in this drum contest. I’m from Madrid, Spain and I started playing drums at the age of 16.

My passion for drumming was ignited by my love for metal music, ranging from the glam era to the aggressive metalcore style. As a drummer, I find that metal music allows me to express myself both physically and emotionally, pushing me to constantly challenge myself and improve my technique.

In addition to playing solo and with various bands over the years, I’m currently playing with two all-female bands: Cobra Spell and Motley Queens, (Motley Crue tribute band). Collaborating with these talented and fierce musicians has been an inspiration for me and has helped me grow as a drummer.

For me, playing drums is not just about keeping a beat or hitting things with sticks. It’s a way to communicate with others, to tell a story and to convey emotions through rhythm and timing. It’s about creating a connection between the music and the audience, and making them feel something deep within.
