I won a free drum lesson during the pandemic (lesson was via Zoom). I’d never held a drumstick in my life. I thought it would be a fun one and done. Took the lesson on pots and pans and I was HOOKED!! My friend Doris and I used to sing in retirement communities (yes, I know, we ARE old people!!). When everything shut down we both really missed performing. We started getting together once a week to make music and have fun. This is the first is the first time I ever played with someone singing. Now I can actually play AND sing at the same time! Our jam sessions helped us get through the pandemic. Music is magic!

Oh my goodness. Your first lesson on pots and pan lids. That is a great story!!!! I am from the era of rock in the 60’s and 70’s and usually enter rock so I liked your entry! You two were having so much fun, I am envious. For 3 yrs. since the pandemic started I have been pretty much isolated due to immune problems. I will definitely watch your video more to remember happy times with my friends and me and recording. Keep up the good work as I see your have some chops coming out with your short rolls as fills! My entry this year is not with my music friends as in the past 8+ entries. But they will be proud of me for entering alone. Keep practicing and having fun.
