My name is Mila and I am 9 years old. Growing up, I was a shy little girl, but exuberant behind drums since I started jamming at four. Drumming lifts my spirits. I am thankful to all my drum teachers who have supported and encouraged me along the way. I remember when a pre-school friend told me that only men can be rock stars, my then-first drum teacher shared with me the videos of Jon Fishman performing in concerts while wearing a navy blue dress with pink polka dots, as well as inspiring videos of female drummers like Senri Kawaguchi.
