Clara ‘Danger’ Esteves was born in Brazil and lived there until moving to Canada at age 12. She was heavily into skateboarding and music, especially bands like Bikini Kill, The Distillers and The Devotchkas which influenced her to start playing drums. “I learned by beating the crap out of my legs until I could keep a beat” Clara recalls. “I got some girls together and told them I knew how to play – which was a lie- and we started a band.” Clara has been behind the kit for Canadian female punk band Pantychrist since 2018. She hits hard and plays with passion and intensity. For her Hit Like A Girl submission, Clara went to the band bunker and jammed (slammed) through some of her favourite-to-play Pantychrist songs.
