Hi there!
My name is Tal- I’m 46 years old, married, mom of 3 and a psychodrama therapist .
My love for drumming started at the age of 15, but due to lack of practice space, I sadly had to put my sticks down. 31 years later the beat of the drums found me again!
It happened during a dark and difficult time when my family was facing a traumatic event and I was deeply saddened.
But then my 10-year-old daughter, inspired by the legendary Ringo Starr and the sensational Nandi Bushell, decided to take up drumming. I tagged along to her first lesson and from the very first beat, I knew I was home.
The drums were like a defibrillator, jolting my heart back to life and infusing me with newfound joy and energy. When I play, everything else fades away, and I am fully present at the moment.
Nowadays, I have an exciting opportunity to showcase my newfound passion – by participating in a drumming competition! When I first heard about the drumming contest, I hesitated, thinking it was too early in my drumming journey to compete. But then I realized the deeper reason for wanting to take part. As a woman, we’re often expected to be perfect in all aspects of our lives – as mothers, partners, and in our careers. Therefore, by taking this bold step to enter the competition, despite being light years away from being a perfect drummer, I’m making a statement – it’s okay to be imperfect!
Life is too short to wait for the perfect moment, and I’m thrilled to be a part of this incredible competition alongside various talented participants.
